Series

The Bobcat GC45S-9 BCS is a 10,000 lb four-wheel LPG cushion-tire forklift built on Bobcat’s Box Car Special chassis. Unlike the GC35S-9 BCS, its wheelbase itself shrinks, from 70.5 in on the standard GC45S-9 down to 61.8 in, the biggest chassis change of any BCS model Bobcat builds.

That shorter wheelbase brings the turning radius down to 87.9 in from the standard truck’s 95.1 in, useful in railcars, trailers, and congested freight docks where the standard GC45S-9 cannot turn.

It shares the standard GC45S-9’s engine options, mast, and 24 in load center, so capacity and lift performance stay the same. Only the footprint changes.

Choose the GC45S-9 BCS when dock or rail-car clearance limits you, not lift height or capacity. Tell us your tightest clearance and heaviest load, and we will confirm the fit.

GC45S-9 BCS FAQs

How much tighter does the BCS chassis turn than the standard GC45S-9?

About 7 in tighter, 87.9 in versus 95.1 in outside turning radius, thanks to a shorter 61.8 in wheelbase instead of 70.5 in. Capacity and lift height stay the same as the standard truck.

Who typically runs the GC45S-9 BCS?

Operations with boxcar, trailer, or tight-dock access, common in rail-served manufacturing, paper mills, and freight transfer, where a standard-length 10,000 lb truck cannot maneuver.
