The Bobcat GC35S-9 BCS is an 8,000 lb four-wheel LPG cushion-tire forklift built on Bobcat’s Box Car Special chassis, a shorter counterweight and frame than the standard GC35S-9 at the same capacity.
At 144.9 in overall length and an 82.8 in turning radius, roughly 6 in shorter and tighter-turning than the standard GC35S-9, it is built for boxcars, trailers, and congested docks where a standard-length truck cannot maneuver.
It shares the standard GC35S-9’s engine options (PSI 4.3L or Kubota 3.8L LPG), mast, and 24 in load center, so capacity and lift performance do not change, only the footprint.
Choose the GC35S-9 BCS when your dock, rail car, or trailer access is the limiting factor, not raw lift height. Tell us your tightest clearance and we will confirm the fit.

GC35S-9 BCS FAQs
What does "BCS" mean?
Box Car Special. It is Bobcat's shorter-counterweight chassis for space-constrained work such as railcars, trailers, freight docks, and congested manufacturing floors, at the same capacity as the standard truck.
Do I lose any capacity or lift height with the BCS chassis?
No. The GC35S-9 BCS lifts the same 8,000 lb, on the same mast options, as the standard GC35S-9. Only the overall length, turning radius, and service weight change.
