Series
The Bobcat BC25SE-7 is the EE-rated version of Bobcat’s 5,000 lb cushion tire electric. Its motors and electrical components are fully enclosed, which lets it work in classified areas where a standard electric truck is not permitted.
Plants with combustible dust, fibers, or flammable vapors are often required to run EE-rated equipment, sometimes by the fire marshal and sometimes by their insurance carrier. Paper converting, grain and feed, chemical packaging, and some food processing areas are the common cases we see.
Outside the rating, it runs the same 48V drivetrain, 24-inch load center, and 9.6 mph travel speed as the standard BC25S-7, on cushion tires for smooth indoor concrete. Its footprint runs slightly longer at 127.9 inches with a 76.8-inch turning radius.
If your facility or insurer calls for an EE rating at 5,000 lb, this is the truck. Not sure whether your area is classified? Tell us what you handle and we will help you sort out the requirement.

BC25SE-7 FAQs
What does the "SE" mean on the BC25SE-7?
It is the EE-rated version of Bobcat's 5,000 lb BC-7 cushion electric. The motors and electrical components are fully enclosed, so the truck can operate in classified areas where a standard electric forklift is not permitted.
Where is an EE-rated forklift required?
Areas with combustible dust, fibers, or flammable vapors, common in paper converting, grain and feed, chemical packaging, and some food processing plants. The requirement usually comes from the facility's hazard classification, the fire marshal, or the insurance carrier.
How does the BC25SE-7 differ from the BC25S-7?
Same 5,000 lb capacity, 48V drivetrain, and 9.6 mph travel speed. The BC25SE-7 adds the EE-rated enclosed electrical package and runs a slightly longer 127.9 in frame with a 76.8 in turning radius.
