The Bobcat B40X-7 is an 8,000 lb four-wheel electric counterbalance forklift, the entry point into Bobcat’s large-capacity X-7 pneumatic line. Its 80V drivetrain runs clean and quiet on pneumatic tires, handling dock plates, ramps, and yard surfaces without a drop of fuel or a puff of exhaust.
Lumber and building materials yards run this weight class hard, and the B40X-7 is built for it. Oil-cooled disc brakes carry a 5-year, 10,000-hour warranty, so stopping power holds up under repeated loaded runs across a yard. The Guardian Stability System and Operator Sensing System keep the truck predictable when the mast is raised and loads are stacked high.
At 8,000 lb it is the lightest of the large-capacity X-7 trio, below the 9,000 lb B45X-7 and the 10,000 lb B50X-7. All three share the same 80V system, 24 in load center, and 9.3 mph travel speed, so the choice comes down to your heaviest recurring load.
