The Bobcat D20S-9 is a 4,000 lb four-wheel diesel pneumatic-tire forklift, the entry point of Bobcat’s medium-capacity 9 Series diesel range. Its 2,392 cc Tier 4 Final engine runs quiet and clean for a diesel, with three selectable performance modes (ECO/STD/HIGH).
At 142.7 in overall length and an 87.8 in turning radius, it handles standard yard and building-materials work without the bulk of the larger diesel trucks above it.
The Guardian Stability System and Operator Sensing System are standard, and scheduled maintenance intervals are extended — engine oil to 1,000 hours, transmission and drive axle oil to 2,000 hours — to lower total cost of ownership.
Choose the D20S-9 when your heaviest recurring load stays under two tons and diesel fits your site better than LPG. Tell us your load and fuel infrastructure, and we will confirm the fit.

D20S-9 FAQs
Why choose diesel over LPG at this capacity?
No propane cylinder exchange to manage, and diesel typically runs a lower fuel cost per hour in heavy-use outdoor applications. The D20S-9 fits sites without existing LP infrastructure.
How does the D20S-9 compare to the D25S-9?
Both share the same 2,392 cc Tier 4 Final diesel engine and 66.9 in wheelbase. The D25S-9 carries 1,000 lb more capacity — step up if your heaviest recurring load runs past two tons.
